Beyond Words: Signed Peter
Peter Quint is a new instructor at the University of North Texas, teaching American Sign Language — and he’s also Deaf. In this short but heartfelt documentary, viewers witness how Peter navigates his relationships with students, bridging the language barrier to create genuine connections in the classroom. Through candid interviews, his students share how his teaching has transformed the way they communicate and understand the Deaf community.

Told through the voices of those who knew him best, the film assembles a portrait of a person no one saw coming apart. Home videos, photographs, and voicemails resurrect the Jayden they remember, and his final moments.
